  • Each year there is an annual resident meeting held somewhere in Shirley, because we need a larger facility for that special meeting, This is where individual residents get to vote on issues that are raised. This Annual Meeting is held in the fall.

  • Waste Management is our Recycling Company. They pick up on Wednesday mornings, so most residents put their trash out at the roadside on Tuesday nights with the lid opening facing the street.

Household trash can be placed in your trash can, and we encourage you to take advantage of the recycling bin for many of your cleaned containers and paper goods, as per Massachusetts law.

Most household batteries like AAA, AA, C, D, and 9-volt alkaline batteries can be safely discarded in the trash, as they do not pose fire or toxicity risks. While many batteries require special disposal due to fire hazards or toxic chemicals, alkaline batteries are generally safe.

Yard waste should not be placed in the trash can. We have a disposal area for that, and you can locate this dumping area on the Map of our Park.

We have a Recycling Dumpster near the pond for anything recyclable.
